S & L Corby vs Isham 1st XI - 5th May 2007

A sublime 134 from Ben Reid and 3 wickets a piece for Will Chudley and Shaun Wills wasn’t enough to earn the 1st XI their first win of the season, away to S & L Corby.
Batting first, Isham started at a good pace with both Ben and Gareth Eaton scoring at a good rate. After Gareth had fell for just 15, Will Chudley (22) continued the support whilst Simon Court (34) helped boost the score late on in the innings.

Isham’s final score 238 was going to be tough for S & L to chase whilst Isham had to take 10 wickets with a weak bowling side. The home team gave Isham a chance when Mike McGeowen was bowled by Shaun Wills, leaving S & L 77 for 5 with 21 overs remaining. But stubborn resistance from the lower order including 25 from Micheal McIntyre and 31 from Steve Loveland meant Isham could only return with a draw.
