Wellingborough Town 3rd XI vs Isham 2nd XI - 28th April 2007

Peter Wills started his tenure of the 2nd XI with a well earnt win against Wellingborough Town 3rd XI. Fielding first, debutante Andrew White took the first wicket of the afternoon as Isham set about destroying the Wellingborough batting. Paul Eaton was the star of the bowling taking 4 wickets for 32 runs as the home side collapsed, scoring just 104 runs.

With the game seemingly in the bag, Isham should have cruised to victory. However a different story began to unfold as the first 5 batsmen to fell had scored just 16 runs between them! At 61-6, Wellingborough sensed a sensational victory. But gritty batting by Dave Barlow and Ben Garlick helped to see the 2nd XI home and secure the 20 points.
